    Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved; their safety and efficacy have not been independently evaluated by the FDA. These formulations contain semaglutide or tirzepatide and are distinct from brand-name products such as Ozempic(R), Wegovy(R), Mounjaro(R), and Zepbound(R). GLP-1 medications carry a boxed warning for a risk of thyroid C-cell tumors and are not for use in anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2).
